The Sant'Andrea church of Romanesque structure with polychrome marble façade and central window is situated in the small harbour of Maderno. In Toscolano, near the Santa Maria del Benaco Sanctuary were found the remains of the Roman villa with mosaic floor, belonged to the Nonii Arii family during the Imperial era. This villa, that sank into the lake in the third century A.D., gave rise to the legend of the ancient underwater settlement of Benacum.
